EMEA MOPS diary by Zoe Forman

Day to day roles, tasks, challenges managing multiple languages as a Marketing Operations Manager

snowboarding & mops

We all know that Work / Life balance is important for our mental and physical health.

During my holidays I try and detach from the digital world of Marketing Operations – snowboarding, surfing, wild swimming and being surrounded by nature are my preferences.

Having just returned from the Italian Dolomites mountains I thought how similar snowboarding and MOPS work can be. There are ups and downs around every corner.

Free riding a snowboard tackling a challenging slopes can be like facing a new challenge in marketing operations. Sometimes you need to step out your comfort zone and embrace the unknown.

Just as conquering new terrains on your board builds confidence, navigating complex strategies in your day job boosts your professional swagger.

Snowboarding and MOPS communities are very similar- you give and take tips & tricks from your fellow riders & peers to grow, learn and hone your skills. Both communities are open friendly and unlimited willingness to share experiences.

Both passions encompass problem solving and quick thinking to fix your kit or tech.

Embrace the thrill of the unknown, challenge yourself, don’t be afraid to fall or fail, whether on snow or in marketing ops—it’s all about shredding limitations!
