A Marketing Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of a company’s marketing efforts. Their responsibilities can vary depending on the organisation’s size and industry. Each month I will be focusing on the top ten tasks, campaigns, presentations, leadership and advocacy roles and activities typically associated with this profession as well as day to day highlights each month.
I have been in marketing a while and seen the introduction and adoption of digital and ai. I’ve always loved problem solving and technology. My degree was in Product Design engineering, I started my career deigning housewares in wood, metal, ceramics and plastic. I then moved in to more traditional marketing roles from Brand Manager, Marketing/Account Director, Consultant working in-house for enterprise companies, Public Sector, Agencies and start ups in many industries including Safety Products, Toys, Transport, Construction, Gas Safety, Carbon Monoxide and Events.
I have always had an interest in technology and life long learner. From launching websites, first to introduce an end to end digital catalogue (design, photography, print, online) exploring new technologies, platforms, websites and SaaS services.
I love exploring the connections, integrations, new developments working with multiple teams, regions and amazing people.
Currently working for MSA Safety, my marketing tech stack has Marketo & Salesforce at the centre. Working in EMEA has its own unique challenges, managing multiple languages, cultural differences and all within GDPR. I strive for global consistency and local efficiencies.
I have been a Marketo user for 4 years, this year integrated with Salesforce for the EMEA and APAC regions.
My most recent recognition and award is being an Adobe Marketo Champion for 2023-2024.
